Biba today obtained Excellent 1, CAC and res.CACIB on the international dog show in Ceske Budejovice. We are very happy, she needs one last CAC to become the Czech beauty champion :)

Sisi is growing up nicely, mom Biba looks after her education (which involves above all running in the garden and biting each others heads or legs :) and us humans try to explain Sisi, that it is a good idea to keep the house clean ;)

We have a new photogallery, to which we´ll be adding pictures of our puppies from their new homes. Today you can have a look at happy Bertik, Artik and Asoka, who is now called Flek :)
All our puppies are sold, Heidi will travel to Western Bohemia next Saturday and Sisi will stay home, to make company to mom Biba. These puppies are unbelievably lovely and beautifull puppies, and with Sisi around we will not miss them so much :)
Last two male puppies are available in kennel z Vízmburských lesů, another puppies will be born in less than a month in kennel Czech Tricolor. And beautifull dog is for sale in kennel Queen Elsa - Cerberus is 10 months old, which is a great advantage for someone, who wants a trained and educated dog :)

This week we update our pages on Saturday. Adri left to his new home on Thursday, today Armin, Asoka and Adalbert were taken to their new homes by their new families. Artus will travel to his new family to Slovakia tomorrow, so only the girls Adel-Heidi and Adsika will keep us company. They are growing up into lovely dogs and are also ready to go to new homes. You may find new pictures in the puppy photogallery.

As usual on Sundays - you may find current weights of puppies in their statistics (it was their last weighting as a group, next week they will start to leave to their new homes) and new pictures in their photogallery. They had an action packed week with a number of human and canine visits, they went for a walk outside of our garden and thanks to warmer weather they are spending more and more time outside.

Today we have a lot of news for visitors of our web pages. So let´s take it one by one:
- Haryk from Biba´s first litter is officially Polish Junion Champion, he also needed to attend only three dog shows to obtain the three required CAJC titles. Big congratulations to Poland, we are very proud of him!
- Our current puppies have been checked by the appenzellers breeding advisor of the Czech Mountain Dog Club. Results of the check are excellent - all puppies obtained excellent evaluation and are in compliance with the oficial FCI standard
- You may find the current weights in the puppy statistics and new pictures both in the individual photogallery of the puppies (which you can access from the statistics) as well as in the common photogallery.

Big news - Eileen received Excellent 1 CAJC BOJ on international dog show in Brno and she is Czech Junior Champion already! We are very proud of her - she walks in the steps of her mom Biba who also obtained the three required CAJC on just three dog shows!

As it has already become a tradition on Sundays - you may find the current weight of our puppies in their statistics and new pictures in their photogallery. We tried to take their pictures from front when sitting and from side when standing, but not all pictures are as nice as we would have liked. Well, they are like a sack of fleas (as we say in Czech :)

There was an invasion of fluffy toys in our house today, but the puppies managed to sustain the attack, fought back and indeed won the fierce fight : ) There are photos from the fight in their album.

The regular weighting of puppies took place today, all of them are nicely putting on weight (details as always in their statistics). On Saturday they had a puppy mash for the first time and all puppies liked it a lot They also started to play together (the most favourite game is "bite your sibling"), they started to curl their tails, they can growl a bit and try to bark - in summary they are growing up like all proper puppies do :) There are new photos in the album on which they all look good, as always!

Eileen (Himiko Šťastná Berjanka) from Biba´s first litter had a very successful day today
- on a National Dog Show in Brno (CZ) she obtained not only mark Excellent 1 and

Puppies are here - Biba has been behaving "strangely" since the night before the Christmas Eve, showing all signs of near birth. The first puppy, a girl, was born today morning shortly after 2am, and the eighth, a boy, almost at noon. More information may be found on their page and first pictures also in their photogallery.

Biba has a big belly now, so she does not walk as swiftly as usual and prefers to rest a lot. And we are looking forward to the next weekend, when puppies should be born!

Haryk on International Dog Show in Poland obtained not only Excellent mark, but even won BOB! We are sending big congratulations to Haryk and his family with thanks for such an excellent presentation! Obviously Haryk follows in the steps of his father Derick, who has been many times very successful at dog shows, and he even looks like his dad :)

Big news - Biba will be again mother!!! She had a UV scan today and puppies are there :) We are very happy and looking forward to a bunch of tricolor cute babies which should be born around Christmas Eve. More on the page of planned litter A of our FCI kennel Sijambo.

Biba achieved a major media success - as an absolute winner of the Czech Swiss Mountain Dog Club show she made it to the magazine Pes přítel člověka (Dog - Man´s Friend). We are absolutely thrilled, and she looks good as you may see for yourself here.

Mating done!! Biba went to blood tests to Dr Laznicky, who specialises in dog reproduction, and he based on the results recommended these days as suitable for mating. So Jakob with his family got in the car and came to us all the way from distant Frankfurt am Main. And if was
love at first sight - they connected so
fast, that none of present photographs
managed to react :) Then they repeated
mating again the next day and after that
Jakob left home. And now we have to
wait for a month - around 25.11. we will
again go to Dr Laznicka, this time for
a control sono for (we hope)
confirmation of Biba´s pregnancy

Biba went in heat. Though it is one earlier than we expected luckily it is not a problem, Jakob is standby waiting for the right moment. But Dante had to move out. However, he is definitely not starving - four people are looking after his comfort and food and bernese Barny, shi-tzu Cenda and norfolk terrier Aja are ready to rock´n´roll at any time.

We would like to share with you great news - we would like to have another puppies from our Biba. Her partner is Jakob vom Bergmännle-Hof, successful German Deckrüre. If everything goes well, puppies should be born around the New Years Eve. Their names will begin with A and their "surname" will be SIJAMBO. This kennel name registered with the International cynological federation and in swahili language it means "I am doing well" (as reply to greetings "jambo" - how do you do :)

The Czech Swiss Mountain Dog Club (KSSP) organised the annual Club dog show (on Saturday) attended by almost four hundred dogs and also presentation of young dogs (on Sunday). Weather was excellent, sun was shining almost like in real and not only Indian summer :)
Two of our hotchers gained big victory on the show. Eileen (Himiko) won the female youth class and obtained her first CAJC title. Her brother Hakim at first won the male youth class (including CAJC title), and then won the Best young appenzeller title over his sister.
Their mom Biba was also extremely successful - she won the female winner class, including CAC title, then the female Club winner title, then BOB appenzeller and topped her amazing success by winning among the most beautiful dogs of all frour Swiss mountain dog breed. She is the first appenzeller in the history of KSSP who won a Club dog show! We are absolutely thriller by her success, namely given the fact, that the most beutiful dog was selected by international judges, including Ms Lisbeth Mach from Switzerland, who judged appenzellers, entlebuchers and great swiss at the World Dog Show 2011 in Paris and berners at the European Dog Show 2011 in the Netherlands!
On Sunday Eileen, Hakim and Hektor showed themselves on the presentation of young dogs to the public. The KSSP breeding committee liked them all, except for minor issues such as black spots in brown tan or hooks on the tail tips. Though many appenzellers have hooks on tail tips - no wonder when they carry their tails so nicely twisted on their back :) Photos are in the photogallery (we would like to thank Misa, kennel z Baricke kovarny a Jarka, kennel z Ticheho udoli for beautifull photos).
And the third great news - our Haryk was again successful on national dog show in Poland. In the youth class he won his first CAC and on top of it even BOB appenzeller!
So go on being successful, our babies :) However, your most important task is to be the best friends to your families as well as to be healthy and fit!

We have entered the new school year at full speed. Biba was today the best appenzeller at a regional dog show in Tyn nad Vltavou and her son Haryk was the best appenzeller puppy at a national dog show in Poland. We are very much looking forward to future successes of our hotchers, especially at the October club dog show of the Czech Swiss Mountain Dog Club, which should be attended by "our" Eileen (Himiko) and, we hope, also by Hakim.
We have received lovely photos from Hamis, who went for vaccations with his family to lovely part of Slovakia called Liptov. They spent days in the mountains, woods and waters :) New pictures of Haryk and Hamis may be again found in the photogallery.

We have received few pictures from Haryk, who lives with his family in Poland near Warszaw. He loves diving into water, exactly like his mother sto pomamil :) He is also doing very well at dog training lessons, apparently he is one of the best from his group!

Last week we spent with Biba and Dante on the dog sport camp, officially called Summer Training Camp Friendship, which 10th year was again organised by ladies Sojkovy from the kennel Queen Elsa, breeding bernese and appenzeller mountain dogs. Dante went twice a day into a puppy kindergarten, where we both learned how to find common language using the positive motivation training. I think that we did really well, Dante can sit and lay down when told to and with a little help of something tasty also walk next to my leg.
Biba had a combined program - a bit of serious training, socialisation with youngsters, agility, dogfrisbee and similar. Plus of course swimming in the river and walks.
And of course we participated fully in other activities, such as the dog carneval, "stek treck" (race of dogs and their people with several fun tasks) and the prestigeous dog show on Friday. Dante placed on 5.-8. place in the puppy class and won a beautifull medal. Biba in the honour class won an excellent third place from eight bitches of three races and received another cup into her rich collection. The dog show was judged by a real judge, therefore we are very proud of the results. Although on this dog show they key was not the dog´s physical appearance and its compliance with the race standard, but more about the relationship between the dog and the handler and in the honour class also about doing something extra to amuse the watchers and the judge!
And one more info about Dante - he is nicely growing up. His whither height is approximately 29 cm and his current weight is 3.9 kg.

He spent lovely holidays with his family in Chroatia, where they all slept in a tent (which he really loved), and on their way back they did some hiking in the Slovenian Alps. And on youtube you may watch Hektor how he brushes his back after taking a swim :)

Dante, our new sheltie housemate and Biba´s friend, also has his own photogallery. Dante is a lovely dog, always in a good mood and ready to play. He came from a Prague kennel z Gröbovské vinice, where he was born to mum Pampeliska. He looks almost like a little black appenzeller :) Maybe he will not become a dog show champion, but we don´t care - we were looking for a lovely dog companion for all of us.

The last week was really action packed for Biba and I. Since Saturday 16.7. till Tuesday 19.7.
we were in Krkonose mountains. We climbed the lookout tower Zaly, picked blueberries,
or just walked around, Biba played with kids staying in the family hotel and we just enjoyed
the clean air and were relaxing:)

And on Thursday afternoon we went to the third annual getting together of appenzellers,
their families and friends, which took part in small town Brezova nad Svitavou. The action
packed program was planned from Friday till Saturday, and included serious events such as
training and socialisation of dogs, minidogtreck and miniagility as well as fun events such
as dog carneval and fun competition on Saturday. The overall aim of this event was to
meet with other dogs and people, get to know one´s dog better, improve the bond
between the dog and its master, enjoy three nice days and even win some competition.
Biba and I want to thank Veronika and other members of the organisation team as well as
to those who came and took part, even if for just few hours.
And above all we want to thank to Hamis and his family, who came to visit all the way from Slovakia, and even participated in the miniagility. Photographs from the event will be in many galleries, to which we will be adding links. Our pictures (mainly from the Friday dog carneval and Hamis´ Saturday visit) are here. We have received a new email from our hotcher Hektor´s family, from which we cite: "... it a dream dog, he is so smart and fast learning, we are so delighted by him. He knows the basic commands - sit, down, wait, come to me. We take him for walks without the leash, he respects the sidewalks and roads, can be called off when he sees a dog, we put him on a leash only where there are more people around or little kids or dogs. Then we can see that he would like to run to them.." Sure he would love to run to then, as a proper youngster he wants to meet new friends and play with anyone who is available :) We are very grateful for all news from our hotchers. We are happy to know, that our puppies live with families which care about them, where they are loved and that the dog is happy. You may see Hektor´s new pictures in the gallery.

Our house has been quite busy over the last almost three weeks - we had a housemate, bitch of Norfolk terier Aja, who became friends with Biba quite quickly. You may find few photos of the two ladies in this gallery.
On Sunday 26.6. Biba attended the International dog show Intercanis in Brno. Unfortunatelly she did not manage to lose all the excess kilos and therefore obtained "only" Excellent 2, res.CAC and res.CACIB in the open class. So we have a clear plan for the summer - do sports and slim down :)
And on Tuesday 28.6. Biba visited her daughter Hester. Though the weather did not cooperate so we went just for a short walk and rather spent most of the visit in a shade resting. Pictures or our beautiful Hester may be found here.

Hamiš is growing into a beautifull big dog - as you may see from the pictures, which we received from his family. They all visited a club dog show of the Slovakian Swiss Mountain Dog Club earlier in June. He would like to present himself at the autumn club dog show and we think that he has big chances to succeed!

Bíba and I visited her home kennel Šťastná Berjanka where two bitches gave birth to fourteen appenzeller puppies. They are old enough to spend most of the day outside in the garden under supervision of their mums and breeder Lenka, and they accept cuddling visitors as well as people interested in a little apppenzeller. Today was Biba very successful at the National Dog Show in Klatovy, where she received another Excellent 1, CAC and her first National Winner tittle. However, due to its current rather full-bodied shape she lost in the BOB selection to a male appenzeller. But we will work on in and in three weeks at the Brno International Dog Show she will be fit again! Yesterday we had an action packed visit - Eileen (Himiko) stopped by. Eileen is a little big tombay - she was provoking her mum Biba to play with her by barking and running around like crazy :) We also went for a short walk and then had a bit of rest. Eileen is growing up into beautifull appenzeller, she is more after her dad Derick and has the right wild appenzeller temper! Pictures from the visit are in the photogallery.

Obviously Haryk follows in the steps of his father Derick, who has been many times very successful at dog shows, and he even looks like his dad :)

Big news - Biba will be again mother!!! She had a UV scan today and puppies are there :) We are very happy and looking forward to a bunch of tricolor cute babies which should be born around Christmas Eve. More on the page of planned litter A of our FCI kennel Sijambo.

Biba achieved a major media success - as an absolute winner of the Czech Swiss Mountain Dog Club show she made it to the magazine Pes přítel člověka (Dog - Man´s Friend). We are absolutely thrilled, and she looks good as you may see for yourself here.

Mating done!! Biba went to blood tests to Dr Laznicky, who specialises in dog reproduction, and he based on the results recommended these days as suitable for mating. So Jakob with his family got in the car and came to us all the way from distant Frankfurt am Main. And if was
love at first sight - they connected so
fast, that none of present photographs
managed to react :) Then they repeated
mating again the next day and after that
Jakob left home. And now we have to
wait for a month - around 25.11. we will
again go to Dr Laznicka, this time for
a control sono for (we hope)

Biba went in heat. Though it is one earlier than we expected luckily it is not a problem, Jakob is standby waiting for the right moment. But Dante had to move out. However, he is definitely not starving - four people are looking after his comfort and food and bernese Barny, shi-tzu Cenda and norfolk terrier Aja are ready to rock´n´roll at any time.

We would like to share with you great news - we would like to have another puppies from our Biba. Her partner is Jakob vom Bergmännle-Hof, successful German Deckrüre. If everything goes well, puppies should be born around the New Years Eve. Their names will begin with A and their "surname" will be SIJAMBO. This kennel name registered with the International cynological federation and in swahili language it means "I am doing well" (as reply to greetings "jambo" - how do you do :)

The Czech Swiss Mountain Dog Club (KSSP) organised the annual Club dog show (on Saturday) attended by almost four hundred dogs and also presentation of young dogs (on Sunday). Weather was excellent, sun was shining almost like in real and not only Indian summer :)
Two of our hotchers gained big victory on the show. Eileen (Himiko) won the female youth class and obtained her first CAJC title. Her brother Hakim at first won the male youth class (including CAJC title), and then won the Best young appenzeller title over his sister.
Their mom Biba was also extremely successful - she won the female winner class, including CAC title, then the female Club winner title, then BOB appenzeller and topped her amazing success by winning among the most beautiful dogs of all frour Swiss mountain dog breed. She is the first appenzeller in the history of KSSP who won a Club dog show! We are absolutely thriller by her success, namely given the fact, that the most beutiful dog was selected by international judges, including Ms Lisbeth Mach from Switzerland, who judged appenzellers, entlebuchers and great swiss at the World Dog Show 2011 in Paris and berners at the European Dog Show 2011 in the Netherlands!
On Sunday Eileen, Hakim and Hektor showed themselves on the presentation of young dogs to the public. The KSSP breeding committee liked them all, except for minor issues such as black spots in brown tan or hooks on the tail tips. Though many appenzellers have hooks on tail tips - no wonder when they carry their tails so nicely twisted on their back :) Photos are in the photogallery (we would like to thank Misa, kennel z Baricke kovarny a Jarka, kennel z Ticheho udoli for beautifull photos).
And the third great news - our Haryk was again successful on national dog show in Poland. In the youth class he won his first CAC and on top of it even BOB appenzeller!
So go on being successful, our babies :) However, your most important task is to be the best friends to your families as well as to be healthy and fit!

We have entered the new school year at full speed. Biba was today the best appenzeller at a regional dog show in Tyn nad Vltavou and her son Haryk was the best appenzeller puppy at a national dog show in Poland. We are very much looking forward to future successes of our hotchers, especially at the October club dog show of the Czech Swiss Mountain Dog Club, which should be attended by "our" Eileen (Himiko) and, we hope, also by Hakim.
We have received lovely photos from Hamis, who went for vaccations with his family to lovely part of Slovakia called Liptov. They spent days in the mountains, woods and waters :) New pictures of Haryk and Hamis may be again found in the photogallery.

We have received few pictures from Haryk, who lives with his family in Poland near Warszaw. He loves diving into water, exactly like his mother sto pomamil :) He is also doing very well at dog training lessons, apparently he is one of the best from his group!

Last week we spent with Biba and Dante on the dog sport camp, officially called Summer Training Camp Friendship, which 10th year was again organised by ladies Sojkovy from the kennel Queen Elsa, breeding bernese and appenzeller mountain dogs. Dante went twice a day into a puppy kindergarten, where we both learned how to find common language using the positive motivation training. I think that we did really well, Dante can sit and lay down when told to and with a little help of something tasty also walk next to my leg.
Biba had a combined program - a bit of serious training, socialisation with youngsters, agility, dogfrisbee and similar. Plus of course swimming in the river and walks.
And of course we participated fully in other activities, such as the dog carneval, "stek treck" (race of dogs and their people with several fun tasks) and the prestigeous dog show on Friday. Dante placed on 5.-8. place in the puppy class and won a beautifull medal. Biba in the honour class won an excellent third place from eight bitches of three races and received another cup into her rich collection. The dog show was judged by a real judge, therefore we are very proud of the results. Although on this dog show they key was not the dog´s physical appearance and its compliance with the race standard, but more about the relationship between the dog and the handler and in the honour class also about doing something extra to amuse the watchers and the judge!
And one more info about Dante - he is nicely growing up. His whither height is approximately 29 cm and his current weight is 3.9 kg.

He spent lovely holidays with his family in Chroatia, where they all slept in a tent (which he really loved), and on their way back they did some hiking in the Slovenian Alps. And on youtube you may watch Hektor how he brushes his back after taking a swim :)

Dante, our new sheltie housemate and Biba´s friend, also has his own photogallery. Dante is a lovely dog, always in a good mood and ready to play. He came from a Prague kennel z Gröbovské vinice, where he was born to mum Pampeliska. He looks almost like a little black appenzeller :) Maybe he will not become a dog show champion, but we don´t care - we were looking for a lovely dog companion for all of us.

The last week was really action packed for Biba and I. Since Saturday 16.7. till Tuesday 19.7.
we were in Krkonose mountains. We climbed the lookout tower Zaly, picked blueberries,
or just walked around, Biba played with kids staying in the family hotel and we just enjoyed
the clean air and were relaxing:)

And on Thursday afternoon we went to the third annual getting together of appenzellers,
their families and friends, which took part in small town Brezova nad Svitavou. The action
packed program was planned from Friday till Saturday, and included serious events such as
training and socialisation of dogs, minidogtreck and miniagility as well as fun events such
as dog carneval and fun competition on Saturday. The overall aim of this event was to
meet with other dogs and people, get to know one´s dog better, improve the bond
between the dog and its master, enjoy three nice days and even win some competition.
Biba and I want to thank Veronika and other members of the organisation team as well as
to those who came and took part, even if for just few hours.
And above all we want to thank to Hamis and his family, who came to visit all the way from Slovakia, and even participated in the miniagility. We have received a new email from our hotcher Hektor´s family, from which we cite: "... it a dream dog, he is so smart and fast learning, we are so delighted by him. He knows the basic commands - sit, down, wait, come to me. We take him for walks without the leash, he respects the sidewalks and roads, can be called off when he sees a dog, we put him on a leash only where there are more people around or little kids or dogs. Then we can see that he would like to run to them.." Sure he would love to run to then, as a proper youngster he wants to meet new friends and play with anyone who is available :) We are very grateful for all news from our hotchers. We are happy to know, that our puppies live with families which care about them, where they are loved and that the dog is happy. You may see Hektor´s new pictures in the gallery.

Our house has been quite busy over the last almost three weeks - we had a housemate, bitch of Norfolk terier Aja, who became friends with Biba quite quickly. You may find few photos of the two ladies in this gallery.
On Sunday 26.6. Biba attended the International dog show Intercanis in Brno. Unfortunatelly she did not manage to lose all the excess kilos and therefore obtained "only" Excellent 2, res.CAC and res.CACIB in the open class. So we have a clear plan for the summer - do sports and slim down :)
And on Tuesday 28.6. Biba visited her daughter Hester. Though the weather did not cooperate so we went just for a short walk and rather spent most of the visit in a shade resting. Pictures or our beautiful Hester may be found here.

Hamiš is growing into a beautifull big dog - as you may see from the pictures, which we received from his family. They all visited a club dog show of the Slovakian Swiss Mountain Dog Club earlier in June. He would like to present himself at the autumn club dog show and we think that he has big chances to succeed!

Bíba and I visited her home kennel Šťastná Berjanka where two bitches gave birth to fourteen appenzeller puppies. They are old enough to spend most of the day outside in the garden under supervision of their mums and breeder Lenka, and they accept cuddling visitors as well as people interested in a little apppenzeller. Today was Biba very successful at the National Dog Show in Klatovy, where she received another Excellent 1, CAC and her first National Winner tittle. However, due to its current rather full-bodied shape she lost in the BOB selection to a male appenzeller. But we will work on in and in three weeks at the Brno International Dog Show she will be fit again! We have lovely photos in photogallery from the show, thanks to Havelkovi from kennel Z tichého údolí.

Yesterday we had an action packed visit - Eileen (Himiko) stopped by. Eileen is a little big tombay - she was provoking her mum Biba to play with her by barking and running around like crazy :) We also went for a short walk and then had a bit of rest. Eileen is growing up into beautifull appenzeller, she is more after her dad Derick and has the right wild appenzeller temper! Pictures from the visit are in the photogallery.
